It began over 30 years ago…

In 1990, an accidental but transformative partnership began.

Ali Stewart began working as a PA for Dr Derek Biddle, a chartered occupational psychologist. This partnership sparked the foundations of everything AS&Co stands for.

Working together, they discovered that the highest-performing leaders in our world all had a lot in common. A decade later, Ali found her calling as a coach and realised people were searching for advice on one particular point.

Leadership.

Luckily, she had everything she needed to do exactly that. And so, AS&Co was born.

It was created to not only build better leaders but to empower people on their professional journeys. Our values were formed and honed over years of working with companies and individuals.

Through our Insights Discovery® Tool, we unveiled more about how people functioned, their skills and personalities, their strengths, weaknesses, fears and needs.

Every journey we made with every individual only shaped our processes further, building out new ways of guiding, nurturing and exploring.

With every discovery, we took a step forward. We realised more and more that there is a continual calling from all of the people we work with.

Jayne Dennis, Strategic Director

Jayne brings more than two decades of expertise in Learning and Development to her role at AS&Co. Jayne believes that the heart of any organisation is its people.

This belief has fuelled her drive to help people discover and embrace their unique strengths, weaknesses and talents to become exceptional in their professional journeys.

With over 20 years in Learning and Development through both private and public sectors, Jayne has cemented a key insight: unlocking individual potential is key to organisational success.

As a Master Practitioner and an Insights Discovery® Practitioner, Jayne guides clients through their professional transformation journeys, empowering them and unlocking their capabilities. She's dedicated to helping them understand and utilise their distinct strengths, preferences, and differences to excel as individuals and leaders.

At AS&Co, Jayne demonstrates the transformative power of our programs. She is committed to working alongside clients, aligning their personal and organisational visions and values with impactful outcomes. She’s not just a practitioner, she’s a guiding hand to every individual on their professional journey.

Ali Stewart, Founder

li isn't just any executive leadership coach. She's also a mentor, a best-selling author, and an unmistakable force in her field. 

Having already built a thriving management consultancy, Ali founded Ali Stewart & Co in July 2004. She's been a guiding light for countless leaders from various industries, helping them make their mark and become exceptional in their field. 

In 2008 she founded the Accrediting Body for what is now called The Liberator (formerly Liberating Leadership®) and The Pioneer (formerly Pioneering Professional®), and it's been growing ever since. With more than 300 practitioners accredited worldwide, Ali, together with her team, hopes to welcome even more into the fold. Especially trainers, coaches, and HR professionals who can use these models to turbocharge both their growth and that of their clients. 

What drives Ali? A heartfelt desire to see every leader out there making people development their top mission. Because for Ali, that's what leadership is all about.

Simon Casebourne, Strategic Director

With years of experience in both middle and senior educational leadership roles, Simon's journey has always been driven by more than just job titles. It was his genuine aspiration to be a better leader that introduced him to Ali Stewart & Co, a decision that became a significant turning point in his career.

From this inspiration, Simon founded "The Ethical Leader", a venture dedicated to helping leaders, teams, and individuals reach their full potential. Supported by his commendable qualifications – including his status as an INPLTA accredited NLP coach, an Insights Discovery® Practitioner, and a Liberating Leadership Master Practitioner – Simon designs bespoke programmes tailored to meet the unique needs of his clients. His primary goal is to enhance communication, personal effectiveness, and help leaders and their teams thrive.

With two decades in education, specialising in career development, training, and teaching, Simon has garnered a deep understanding of the essentials for organisational success. He's currently broadening his expertise by studying for a part-time second degree in Social Psychology - a testament to his commitment to continuous personal development.
